The soft Amaretto is a delcious biscuit whose only ingredients are sugar, almonds and egg whites.
Story goes that the Cardinal of Milan went on a visit to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Saronno and received as a gift some pastries made with sugar, egg white and almonds.
Since then, the popularity of this delicious sweet has spread all over the world.
Located in the center of the town, the Chiostro di Saronno is an ancient Franciscan cloister and the headquarters of the company, so the place where the prestigious recipes based on genuine products are kept and come to life.
The biscuits are individually wrapped in a layer of decorated tissue paper.
Soft Amaretti are perfect if accompanied by a glass of fortified wine; also, you can enjoy them with a cup of tea or coffee.
